DIY Headboard Inspiration From Amanda Nisbet
Cool Idea: Create the Illusion of a Sky-High Headboard
by Angela Elias 1

I did a double take when I first saw this striking image on interior designer Amanda Nisbet's website, I couldn't tell from the first split second if the pink pattern was a wall treatment or an elaborate headboard. I suppose it's both, really. The architectural details of the ornate, wooden facade mimic a headboard brilliantly. I'm convinced, though, that a similar look could be achieved with more simple built-in shelves surrounding a bed like she does here.

Just imagine the possibilities – a stretched tapestry, stenciled pattern, wallpaper, upholstery – they're endless!
