Coveted Crib: Sixx Design's West Village Home

The Novogratz couple really has a great eye for artwork. It's one of the things that truly makes their home. I loved seeing the toys strewn about in this photo, next to their pricey furnishings; they're real people!
One of the things I did notice about their home was how it was furnished with pieces — one limited edition chair here, one oversize painting here, a statement-making mirror here. While this style looks fabulous, it's also a sign that they don't have the training of interior designers who learn upholstery techniques and custom furniture making. Seeing this shows that you really don't need a pricey decorator to live in a gorgeous home.
