Coveted? Crib: The House of Dexter

Coveted? Crib: The House of Dexter

Metropolitan Home has teamed up with Showtime and some of the design world's top tastemakers to transform a 19th-century New York City townhouse into a modernist masterpiece with rooms that take a cue from some of Showtime's original series — Californication, Dexter, The L Word, The Tudors, and Weeds. The four-story Greek Revival townhouse will be open to the public until Oct. 26, and for those not taking a bite out of the Big Apple, PointClickHome.com has you covered online with behind-the-scenes videos, house tours, room galleries, decadent decor, designer secrets and tricks-of-the-trade, sweepstakes, and even a design tool to help you recreate the featured rooms. Since I've got a thing for actor Michael C. Hall and his character, forensic blood spatter analyst/serial killer Dexter Morgan, I figured I'd give you a tour of the home inspired by his hit show. Here, a glamorous all-white dining room gets a punch of macabre with spatters of "blood" and other red elements.
