If you like the idea of camping, but not the reality, then Philippe Malouin's Tent Sofa (inquire for price) may be the perfect compromise. Created for Italian manufacturer Campeggi, this transformable piece of furniture exudes a childlike whimsy, but actually provides a practical solution to unexpected overnight guests. What begins as a sofa can be rearranged to create a private, comfy mini-bedroom. This design debuted at this year's Salone del Mobile, and will be widely available later this year.

oh my, i need this. i:ve been searching all over and can't find anywhere that sells them. does anybody know any websites that sell these, and deliver to the UK and/or a price range?

i think this is an awsome idea and my daughter would love it. i get tired of trying to figure out how to make her an indoor tent.

my sis and i always liked making forts out of blankets and couch cushions. my niece and nephews have those pop up indoor tents with cartoon characters on them. the cushion forts were much more fun.

This would have been perfect for when I was younger. I used to love playing "camp" with my cousins. We would cover our bunk bed with sheets and pretend it was our tent. Ah the good ol' days.
