Craftster member Summerswann has a talent for seeing a diamond in the rough. Such is the case with her recent secondhand acquisition, a library card catalog. She writes, "While at my very favorite thrift store I spied this section of vintage library card catalog. It was very stained and faded, as if it had been sitting outside for years, but for $7 I knew I had to have it!"
She took it home and gave it a good cleaning and sanding. To see how she adapted it for her home, read more.
After staining the card catalog, Summerswann added four mid-century modern-style metal table legs, and now has an inexpensive and very cool coffee table for her living room. What a great upcycling project! I'm always so inspired to see people creating beautiful things on a budget.
