Cool Idea: An Interactive Trash Bin

British fashion designer Paul Smith and Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic today unveiled a five-foot "rabbit bin." Whenever a passerby drops rubbish in the bin, the bunny's ears light up. The bunny is part of the Design Museum Super Contemporary Exhibition in Covent Garden. I love the concept of making civic responsibility (such as keeping your city clean) whimsical and fun. Perhaps the streets of my fair city would be a little cleaner if there were rabbit bins here.

Pshh old news! When I was little, there was a park in my home town with a stone dragon, and you could throw trash in his mouth, and his eyes would light up and he'd say "Thank you! Feed me more!" or something like that. :)

Well I am from Conway, Arkansas, so I think it'd be neat to have one but rather than than a rabbit, a big toad (we are famous for the Toad Suck Daze festival they do every year!)

I don't know about a rabbit trash can, but I remember there was a Wegmans we went to while in college that had a trash can that said "thank you" after you throw something away.
