Who says bookshelves have to be reserved for books? In this bathroom, Ikea's Bergsbo Bookshelf ($249) is used to organize pretty towels, linens, and other bathroom necessities.
You can use bookshelves to organize a number of objects, in any room in the house. Use them to display pretty serving dishes in your kitchen, next to a few favorite cookbooks, or add one to the entryway to showcase favorite hats while providing a landing strip for mail, keys, and bags.
Do you display anything on your bookshelves besides books? Tell me about it in the comments.

Love this idea. It keeps "stuff" off of your sink and toilet & organized in a nice fashion. I have room next to my toilet, and have thought about putting in a small table or shelving unit. I might have to see what I can find on Craig's list or in a second hand store.
1Pretty towels, bottles on a nice tray, jars filled with bathroom necessities (cotton balls, swabs, et...) tons of opportunity.
Since I received a Kindle for Christmas 2 years ago, I have boxed up all my books in archival boxes with lids and stored them. I am using the bookcases in my craft studio for storing yarn and fabric. It is really good for the creative juices to walk in and see all the different colors and textures on display - no more rooting around in boxes and baskets!
2I like it.
3i think the white ones look great here
4obviously shelves in a bathroom are pretty standard (?)
but the use of these bookcases is fab
makes it have quite a spa feel
added glam
