Pumice stones do more than buff your rough skin — they can also remove stains. Toilet stains, that is. If you have super-stubborn toilet rings in your bowl, don't give up hope or turn to abrasive, toxic cleansers. Instead, clean those mineral deposits with a pumice stone. Just make sure the pumice stone is wet, and rub gently. The rough stone should take care of any stains in your bowl. Just make sure to don a pair of gloves to cut down the ick factor for this rather unpleasant job!

If you turn off the water and then flush the toilet a couple of times, the bowl will empty which could cut down on the grossness.
