Canadian House and Home Names "Tailored Gypsy" a Hot Look For 2010

Get the Look: Tailored Gypsy

5

In Canadian House and Home's annual trend roundup, "Tailored Gypsy" was identified as one of its hot looks for 2010.

While bohemian style has been a mainstay in the interior design world for years now, this latest incarnation sees the boho look lose its scruff, and go for a more polished presentation. Mixing bold artwork, hand-dyed textiles, eclectic accents, and more traditional larger pieces of furniture, this look is a definite pleaser.

Where do you get that coverlet?

katyharper, that is such a great solution! It also shows that you know your style really well (and your changing tastes!).

#1 - I was the same way after seeing Mamma Mia. I wanted a Boho look, but I know that my tastes change a lot. So, I got a basic white bedspread and white pillows, and found a really cool Boho-esque tablecloth at TJ Maxx that I folded on the foot of the bed. It was like $12 and gave that same feel, and when I get tired of it, I can find something else and not feel obligated to keep using something I paid a lot for.

I really like this trend and the coinage "tailored gypsy."
I love this coverlet. I am having a hard time finding beddinglike in the picture. After I saw the textiles on the movie "Mama Mia", I have wanted to change my bedroom to this bohemian look.
