I get all giddy when I stumble upon a piece of furniture that screams for an easy makeover, which is why I fell in love with this tired little bench. The small seat was attractive enough, but I mulled over what I wanted to do with it until the right fabric struck me. And eventually, it did. After a fresh coat of paint and a cheery cover, this little bench found a new life in a little girl's room I've been working on for a while. The problem is I like it so much that I kinda want it back!

A tea party lover, I chose a tea and cherry blossom print for the pillows and ruffled pink seersucker trim to complement her canary quilted comforters. To tie it all together, I painted the base of the bench a bright yellow and replaced the dingy fabric with a matching pink seersucker panel. Instead of placing the demure bench at the end of the bed, it sits right between her twin beds and serves as a place for her to put her books, stuffed animals, and tea party accoutrements.
