Before and After: RachelG's Simple and Pretty Summer Change

Su Casa member RachelG recently decided to prettify the outdoor space directly outside her front door. Not only did she add visual interest, she also provided some great outdoor seating and entertaining space. Best of all, she didn't spend a lot of money doing so. She instead relied on good old fashioned elbow grease.

RachelG writes, "[L]ast year [I] tore out bushes and mulch that were very overgrown. Then, I put down a mesh cover to prevent weeds from growing, add added gravel from a local hardware store. I painted my old picnic table white and added a wicker chair I found in an alley behind a house I once lived in. The flags and begonia add to the patriotic theme! Now I can sit outside and have a cup of tea and eat dinner. It's added a little room to my tiny house!"
