Before and After: A Tiny Bathroom Reno

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member LiliesandBiscuits from the Su Casa group:

We recently renovated our tiny main floor bathroom. There is another bathroom in the house, but it's in the basement, so this is for all intents and purposes our main bathroom (no master bath in our old house, sigh). We kept the original floor tile since it was in pretty good shape and is 83 years old, the original medicine cabinet, and the original cast iron bathtub, and just had it reglazed. We replaced the window, the vanity, the toilet, and the wall tile, and then just sort of fixed up the linen closet, thanks to help from posters here! We also replaced a lot of accessories like lighting, towel holders, etc. Drum roll please . . .

Ta-da! The closet is behind the door, across from the vanity, in case the pictures are confusing.  We had a contractor do most of the work, because there were some plumbing and plaster issues, but I think it was worth it. I made the curtain (without a sewing machine, I might add!), recovered the hamper, and embroidered lilies of the valley on the antique hand towels on the shelf, which were my grandmother's (sorry there's no closeup), and my husband and I painted and did all of the spiffing up in the closet (which was a lot grosser than the before pic lets on), so there is a tiny bit of DIY in there. And eventually there will be a philodendron in that empty pot. So, it's still a tiny bathroom, and nothing really special, but at least now it's a pretty and clean tiny bathroom, not to mention more energy efficient! Thanks for looking!
