I recently read about a clever woman who made her Ikea chandelier into something much more expensive-looking with the addition of some simple, cheap materials.
She writes,
I have long coveted the Cellula Chandelier from Design Within Reach (with its $2,200 price tag it was out of the question). I found the Glimt ($79.99) at Ikea and crafted my own version of the Cellula that is pretty darn close.
