Once I finished making over my 1960s faux bamboo dresser with starburst orange paint, I was left with an expansive tabletop in my entryway just begging to be styled. Luckily, I did some extensive Spring cleaning soon after and unearthed some wonderful treasures that were perfect for creating a lovely little vignette.
I'd been looking for a place to hang my new white tole sconce, which I scored for only $20 at a consignment shop, and this was the perfect spot. Since the sconce is made of heavy cast iron, I've been wary of actually hanging it and tearing up my walls, but as it turns out, I think it looks cute just sitting on this console tabletop. The hammered tin mirrors — a $10 thrift store find — have been stashed under the bed for ages; I'd totally forgotten about them! I can't decide whether I should hang them or not. I probably will.
The adorable white platter with print chairs on it was a gift from a coworker. Since I'm a chair fanatic, I love walking in my door and seeing it every day, and I use it to stash my keys. The little wooden elephants were random accessories that someone put in a gift basket I received, and I lined them up like a mini elephant parade! The ikat frame has photos of a mustachio bachio that I threw, so I pinned a keepsake mustache wand onto it for memory's sake. And, you can read my review of this wonderful candle here — I love the round box it came in!
