If you want to create a chronicle of the special guests at your wedding, why have them simply sign their names? I've found so many creative twists on the traditional guest book, I don't know how you could choose just one. I particularly love the idea of having guests take Polaroids and write messages on the bottom. No matter how the sentiments are delivered, it's the thought that counts. There was one idea you didn't mentioned, but I love the idea of a fingerprint wedding tree. lovliday.etsy.com has a great selection of these.

i really like the polaroid idea, the signing and picture and also the 'write words for their # anniversary' i think if it was signing a picture, it might be better to get a canvas print and then everyone can actually write all over it (but not on their faces) rather than having to squish in around it. i'm going to be a bridesmaid next year so i guess one of my tasks may well be the guestbook!
