CS: How did you change the fireplace?

MZ: The tiles surrounding the fireplace had glaze that was far too deteriorated so although I usually try to avoid this, we painted over the old tiles and instead used paint color to add visual detail to the mantelpiece. A ribbon of coral pink did the trick, and we used the same color in the dining room built-in cabinetry.
