The DLT Designs Fish Art Coffee Table ($50,000) is made of birchwood and MDF cast in epoxy, with 20 coats of finish throughout. It is remote controlled, battery operated, and has a spring-loading safety switch for its top insert panel, which rises to reveal a personal cocktail bar. It's shaped like a fish and also features a mono-print oil on canvas painting of marine life on its base and top panel. In the words of a co-worker, "It's the type of bad taste that only money can buy." But don't let that statement sway you.

You know what?
1In some weird way I kinda like it...not love it...but like it.
It's not ugly...and it's pretty expensive looking too!
That is HIDEOUS!!
2I think it would be cool in a funky bar... but not so much in someone's home.
3YUCK.
4its definitely a great conversation starter
5i can see this on some rich couple's yacht near St Moritz...
As my dad would say, "more dollars than sense (sic)".
6oops: I was first going to write chalet and St. Moritz, then changed it to yacht and forgot to change it to St. Tropez...
7hate it...
8I feel like if I had this it would be the kind of thing where at a party it would be the "obligatory: everyone look and laugh" piece, instead of being a truly unique piece of furniture. I said 'hate it' because its too cheesey, even for my taste!
9I'm on the fence about this one. I can see it in someone's basement if it were done right, but at the same time, an automated fish?
10This could be cool if it were a bar and not a table and not in your house. I don't like it at all.
11This looks like something you would see in an Austin Powers or James Bond movie.
12It's definitely not for me...
13I don't care what it's made of or if the sale benefitted charity...it is fugly.
14I totally agree with your co-worker!
