A well-made candle will create virtually no smoke when burning correctly. Your candles will burn brighter if you always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every use. The reason for this is because long wicks produce larger flames, which create soot. Also keep your candles away from drafts, vents, or air currents, which can disturb the flame's teardrop shape, producing soot.

1Fab!
2Pretty!
I always trim my wicks before burning, but some of my candles STILL smoke. It drives me nuts!
3Very nice arrangement.
