It's still 52°F here in San Francisco, but other parts of the country have already gotten over a foot of snow this Winter. Personally, I always preferred to shovel the snow rather than pick at the ice on my walkway. But others would prefer to hire someone to do it altogether. What about you? Do you shovel the snow, or pawn the responsibility onto an unsuspecting other?

I do it myself and burn the extra calories!
1We live in a condo , so the maintenance people do that for us.
2One of the best things about living in a rental in the city is that we never have to shovel snow.
3I live in Alabama, so personally I prefer to watch people shovel their own snow on television than grounds workers
4You can get cited where I live if you don't shovel the sidewalks, but I probably would anyway.
5i don't have a driveway.....i let the city/school/apartment building do what i pay them for!
6Yes we shovel. I hate it but i burn lots of calories. Somtimes it's not too bad depending on how much snow we get but a couple of years ago we got three feet of snow and not only did we have to shovel the driveway but the plows had dumped about about a 8 foot wall of snow at the end of our drive way, that really sucked! Stupid snow plow drivers have no respect for us poor saps that have to shovel.
7i used to help shovel when i was little and lived in a house in the burbs' but now i live in nyc which means no shoveling for me.....!!!
8My landlord takes care of this
9I live in an apartment so i don't really have this issue at all.
10But when I lived at home and my parents would go away I would shovel the snow if it did snow
We just moved from Massachusetts to Kentucky a year ago. I used to have to shovel all the time. OMG, I do not miss that! Shoveling in snow up to your knees is a nightmare. Sometimes we would have to go out twice during one snow storm just to keep it managable. Yesterday we got a sprinkling of snow that barely stuck. My husband and I were laughing that we were going to send a pic of it to the in-laws still in Connecticut. So happy we moved!!
11I live in a condo, so it's not my responsibility to shovel -- that's why we pay condo fees!
12We don't get enough snow to shovel. We just put down some ice melter on the stairs in the atrium leading to the garage. The maintenance people would do it, but I would feel bad having them come over to shovel snow on my atrium.
13No snow here, it was 71* yesterday!
14I live in a condo, so no, I don't have to...a contracted company comes and plows/shovels for us. They're really quick and efficient too.
I used to shovel at my old apartment though...it wasn't TOO bad because there was 3 of us who would all do it together.
But I don't miss it!
15No snow in So Cal!
16I like with 3 other people so between the 4 of us we get it done. Sometimes one person is alone, sometimes groups, sometimes all of us. It gets done one way or another.
17I love the snow and snow means shoveling and lots of it!
18I wish we had snow....Louisiana
