From Modern Dose, these crocheted pendant lamps ($225) represent an intersection of modern design and homespun craft. Painstakingly crocheted by hand, the basket forms are dipped in a starch solution to preserve their shapes. Each lamp emits a warm and romantic glow, and are available in either tepee, cone, or dome shapes.

I like it because they look more eclectic than old lady.
1They're "okay."
2Hate.
They remind me of a doily. Or something my grandmother would have had in her house.
3It just looks kind of cheap. And while its really exciting for something to be cheap and look awesome, this looks like a DIY craft project gone wrong.
4ewwww sorry but no.
5Within the last two weeks, every design blog I subscribe to has posted about these crocheted pendant lamps - sometimes multiple posts for them.
What's the deal? Design blogosphere community....enough already with posts about these crocheted pendant lamps.
6Hate it. My grandmother would NEVER have these in her home. My grannies got style people. No thanks on liking these. Yuck!
7pretty but only in the right space
8I love them! I think they look soft and romantic - not old-lady-ish!
9Painstakingly over-blogged..
10Thanks latteforthetrain - glad I'm not the only one who thinks so....I subscribe to multiple design blogs and it's UNBELIEVABLE how many posts I've received about these lamps - as recently as this morning from another post from a different blog.....
Are they that fascinating? I personally think they're hideous, but even if it was an object I loved, I'd be sick of seeing it at this point.
11i don't like the unfinished edges
