Improper watering is often the underlying cause of plant problems. The leaves of underwatered plants become brown or yellow, dry, and brittle, eventually killing the plant. Contrarily, overwatering a plant can make its leaves limp, and the plant itself more susceptible to disease. For a simple solution to both of these problems, read more.
A water meter tests for moisture at the root of your plant, taking the guesswork out of watering. The simple device will let you know when your plant needs a drink, or when it's had too many. Just stick the probe in the soil of your indoor or outdoor plants before and while you water, and it will read either wet, dry, or somewhere in between. You can find a water meter at your local garden store, or order one online.

1I think my spider ones needs a little more H2O.
2I need this! I am a plant-killer, and I am trying desparately to keep my current houseplant alive. It doesn't help that my husband is a crazy over-water-er. At least this way I can prove that it's him killing the plant!
3what if the leaves are brown AND limp? is that overwatering or underwatering? haha..
4Yeah, I'm not good with plants...I've figured that out over the years.
