A bit behind the times, I recently learned from Real Estalker that indie darling Parker Posey's three bedroom East Village co-op went on the market in late October for $1.175 million. Putzing around on New York interior designer Rafael de Cárdenas's site, I discovered photos of the apartment, which has clearly been updated since early real-estate shots were taken. Don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful, unique, and all that you'd expect from a hip, indie actor; but, something about her exposed brick walls and uncovered floors reminds me of an Urban Outfitters product shot. It's got an artsy, bohemian, Hollywood Regency look, but not much creative clutter; it's sparse like a movie set. Rumor has it this pad has sold. But would you live in it? Tell me what you think after checking out these photos.

Lovely house
I love the big windows, exposed brick walls, and hardwood floor, but I think that so much more could have been done with this place. It has such great features. The place just seems cold. I would prefer a more cozy homey feel.
I like it...
i like the brick walls and hardwood floors..decorating could have been done differently but coming from CA(atleast where im from) where there arent many places with walls like that I REALLY like it!
I love the juxtaposition of the cold brick and hard floors with the girly floral wallpaper and velvet upholstery. I'm sure the creative clutter was just put away for sales purposes. I have to imagine Parker Posey has plenty of carefully selected knick knack in her life. Can I move it and put my carefully selected clutter out on display?
Ooh, I really like it. I agree with vjgun, I'm sure the clutter was just put away for the purpose of these photos.
oh my god, what a great style. It reminds me of an Anthropologie catalog. I love that wallpaper, and the whole place looks very liveable.
is that 1.175 million a typo? it seems extremely cheap for a 3 bedroom in the east village! i live in nyc and i've heard of apts that weren't as nice selling for much more.
I love the bathroom...that tub just seems to scream a candle lit bath
This is amazing! And I love Parker Posey!
It's a million times nicer than my place and I'm living here, so definitely, I'd live there. If I had millions of dollars to spend casually. I love the brick wall and the floors.
My god, it's completely gorgeous - agree that the price sounds like a typo. Otherwise, I'd scrape up every penny from everyone I know to afford it. 3 bedrooms is huge - here in London, flats like that, that well placed would go for more like $3m.
love it!
I wonder if she had help decorating this? She seems to have a good sense of fashion when dressing herself that doesn't really ever look like a stylist did it (or at least I would like to think this). I remember when her style was featuring in Lucky mag, she made it out like she shopped for herself, including lots of stuff from H&M. Thanks for the peak into her house. How great is Real Estalker to let us all spy on the other side of life! I dig it.
Ok, she did have decorating help now that I read closer and checked the Rafael de Cárdenas site.
