In our Best of 2007 polls, you chose Bungalow as your favorite style of residential architecture. I do love the cozy feel of bungalows, the large square columns, and of course, the affordability. But I have to part ways with you on this one and go with Creole style, which ironically was chosen by only 1 percent of you. There's something about the elaborate wrought iron details and requisite porches and balconies of New Orleans Creole houses that really makes my heart sing.

1I love Capes, but the Bungalow is also really cute. I love cozy-looking homes.
2I think what I like best about the bungalow is the coziness. You don't often see overly formal rooms, and it feels very lived-in. We're all about comfort, coziness, and a feeling of home. One of my stepsisters has a lot of very modern art in her home, and it feels very gallery-like. It works for her, but we just like a more functional feel.

4I'm a minimalist at heart, so I'm into mid-century modern. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of them where I live.
