KateD wanted to perk up her kitchen sink and save dollars buying soap in bulk, as I did with my olive-oil dish-soap bottle. Instead, she chose to use a lotion dispenser from Bed Bath & Beyond. She said:
It's so much easier than turning the soap bottle over, and the dispenser doesn't get covered in soap like a regular bottle would. And of course not only is it prettier, but I have a Costco-sized jug of soap I refill it with so I don't waste little bottles.
Let's brainstorm a bit and devise some alternatives for ridding our kitchens of the ugly and commercial! Leave comments below with your thoughts.

Very cute!
1Our kitchen sink had the two holes one for the faucet and one for the hose. We ditched the hose and bought a faucet that detaches and acts as a hose also. In the spot where the hole for the hose is, we put a soap dispenser. They make them specially for the kitchen sink. You just lift up and refill. I love it and like you said no big bottle of dish soap and no mess.
2Another great idea!
3That IS a great idea
4actually, i'm cheap, so i have a costco sized bottle and a teeny more manageable bottle that i bought at the last minute, so i just refill it. it's not that pretty, but maybe i'll do the lotion dispenser trick.
5My sink has a soap dispenser built in. I keep a pretty red glass heart-shaped and chrome soap dispenser there for hand soap, though.
6That is a great idea that I might look into! You save money and you have a prettier sink side.
7Great idea...functional and pretty!
8Very attractive - I have a lady pig with a hat that holds my soap. I love her. She has a hubby for hand lotion.
