This 3R Living Recycled Light Bulb Ornament ($26) turns me on. But, but, but, I would never buy it. The beauty of this ornament is that everyone has the supplies to make it. A burnt-out light bulb, some leftover paint (nail polish would work well), and a paper clip or spare wire (for the hook) and you're good to glow. Well, not really. Is anyone up for this DIY? Send me photos if you get motivated to make one. Otherwise, check out the ten stupidest things to do with a burnt-out light bulb.

That's actally pretty cool! If I had time to do this I would
Oh my gosh, that's so nifty!
Interesting.. I would never think of that which is odd because of the whole glass ball ornament its basically the same thing
Kind of neat.
So creative, I love it!
crafty idea!
This is adorable. I have a close group of friends from college with whom I exchange ornaments every year...I think I may collect some old light bulbs and paint one here and there until next Christmas! Not only will they be more special because they'll be handmade, but that'll mean five fewer light bulbs in our landfills. Not much, but every little bit helps!
My mother's friend makes these. She used to make one every year for me. One year it was a penguin, another year it was a puppy, and another year it was an angel. She also made one into a lighthouse for me. They are precious!!
Cute idea...I don't care for this particular design, but the idea is a good one
Actually, that's pretty cool!
I do lightbulb ornaments every year. I use clear ones and paint them or add jewels. They're pretty popular among my family.
I think this is a great idea! Very pretty too.
cool idea! love it!
