casasugar...in the same week that you mentioned the design*sponge RAR rocker giveaway (which i did not win) AND craigslist for shopping i found a pristine, original, eames rocker on craigslist. half of my house is furnished with craiglist finds!
etsy and other etailers
I usually get my furniture and home accents/decor from well-known stores like Macy's, Ikea, Target, Pier 1 Imports.
There aren't too many cute little home boutiques near my home, except for two little country stores that I love.
From time to time, I like to look through the local Goodwill store. Usually there's mostly stuff I have no interest in, but sometimes, there's something that tickles my fancy. I've picked up a few neat candle holders and other decorations, and on occasion there's even an interesting piece of furniture. The surprise is kind of fun.
I like finding home thigns when I travel too! That way there a special story behind them as well!
None. I'm really just a mainstream shopper.
Estate sales are the best.
I use them all actually. Takes patience but sometimes you can get great deals. I got my bedroom furniture (dressers and nightstands) from craigslist. They were cheap and antique real wood which is hard to find in a store these days. I get nice stuff from garage sales too. It's a great way to be different in your decorating.
Homegoods is a pretty amazing store for decorating and find designer products at reasonable prices
Ebay, garage sales and flea markets are all great.
I find lots of great home items in my neighborhood in Baltimore, Hampden. There's a great store called Red Tree that everyone should check out!
