There are so many options for tree-toppers these days, it's almost intimidating. But, you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose, as long as you choose something!

We've had the same angel all my life (I'm 24) and I'm pretty sure she was around a good few years before I was born!
She won't be up this year though, we're heading over to San Francisco on the 19th of Dec and won't be back until the 9th Jan - too late to leave the decorations up!
*excited*
1I always top my tree with an old G.I Joe action figure holding up a wood carved star (as if to top the tree with it) . The action figure belonged to my uncle who died when he was 10 (He would be in his late forties now). The star was carved by my father.
2I think at some point we've had all of these atop our Christmas tree. Definitely not traditionalists. I just bought a star to top the tree this year.
3A star all the way
4I am going to be putting a star on mine
5I bought a beautiful star at Target!
6We have a beautiful glittery gold star on the top of our tree. I've been using it for several years and I love it.
7I top my tree with a white dove.
8My Mom has a beautiful angel we use to top our tree. She got it from an old neighbor of ours who used to own a craft store/ florist.
9I have a Faerie Queen from a Hallmark collection a few years ago. She has fiber optic wings and a crown, just plug in a light and she glows.
10We have collected different ornaments to put on our tree through our travels (like Murano glass from Italy, a panda from China, etc.) and so we top out tree with a small globe we put a hole in. It's been a fun tradition for us to get something new everywhere we go.
11I have always had an angel as my tree topper, but this year is the first time I am decorating a tree myself, I think I may go for a star this year
12Jillz, what a fantastic idea! I only wish that I had been enough places to do that. lol Maybe some day.
We've been switching between different (rather cheap) toppers for a couple of years because we couldn't find the Angel that we usually used. We had a flood in our basement a couple of years back and figured it was lost. Yesterday I moved a bunch of boxes from in front of a cabinet and opened it. There in the cabinet was a little box with "ANGEL" written in big letters. So, I guess we'll be using that this year! lol
13I do themes, so it changes every year!
14We have a robin.
15I make my own bows for the top of my trees (I have 4 this year: 2 in my living room, one in the bedroom, and one in the kitchen), and have the ribbon divided into 4 sections cascading down the tree, usually about halfway. Occasionally I'll attach smaller ribbon of the same color to the back of the bow and have them cascading down as well. I absolutely LOVE decorating Christmas trees. I can't wait until next year when I can do it again!
16We have a star that has been in my husbands family for years and years and years.
17My family has always used an angel, but I'm more a fan of stars. And how cute is that little girl in the picture!
18A star that my daughter made in kindergarten; she's 11 yrs. old now. It's perfect, gorgeous.
19either an angel or santa
20angel
21my sister and i have a star at our apartment, but we spend christmas at what i call "home home" (
) with a big red bow cascading down the tree! my mom is honestly the best tree decorator ever. she can take the scraggliest tree and turn it into a masterpiece.
