Okay, I don't want to bust the Dustbuster's chops—I'm old enough to remember when it was an amazing new household tool. My grandma and mom went gaga over it. But, as hot as this design might have been when it was developed by industrial designer Carroll Gantz, it now looks downright prehistoric.
Enter the new handheld vacuum designs by Karim Rashid. The Dirt Devil KONE ($42.99) and KURV ($52.99) are just plain beautiful to look at. I love the poppy colors and sleek shapes. They're also both rechargeable and cordless, just like the original Dustbuster. The advantage to these new designs, though, is that I can pretend I'm on a super-mod spaceship while I vacuum up the dog hair.

2i saw these on t.v i think they are kinda cool you can put it anywere and its not a big ugly vaccume
3I saw these on TV, I love them. The TV ad says to put them on your table? I'd never do that. I know what's IN the vacuum and the idea of it being on my table? eww...But they're very nice for a floor, where normally they would be hidden in a closet.
4My boyfriend saw these on TV for Canadian Tire and said he wanted it because it's pretty and we can leave it would and clean up messes ASAP without having to take out the Dyson
5i think i love the kurv more than the kone....but i adore them both! but since i don't really do the vacuuming....boyfriend says no.

8I may actually get a couple of these to put around my house. I never have before because I've always heard that they were awkward to clean with. I have a Dyson Root 6 handheld that I usually use, but it's not very pretty.
(Unlike my purple Dyson "Animal" which I got just
because it looked cool.) I love the plum color on the kone, but I would have to buy the blue next to it because they look so good together!

13I got the plum kone for my bridal shower and LOVE IT! It's nice to have something you don't have to try and hide behind the couch.
14I'm going to get one of the Kurv ones & put it in the corner, next to my bathroom door. I'm constantly having to vacuum up my hair & I'm sick of pulling out the big vac for it!
