This L.L. Bean Canoe Coffee Table ($999) is kind of endearing. For what it is, this table isn't bad looking, but I feel that sometimes people take their hobbies a paddle stroke too far. Then again, that lodge-y look can be cozy sometimes, after a long day of fly fishing and shooting stags. What do you think?

Even in a log cabin near a lake, and this would be an emergency life saving boat, this is not a pretty piece of furniture to look at.
1It's awkward but something about it calls to me....might be the fact that I live in the woods near lots of rivers and lakes!!
2i love it! you would probably have to design the rest of the room around it though.

13I agree with notoriuskitty, in a lake house this would be cool.. very L.L.Bean.. I'd pair it with whites and natural woods like that.. soft clean lines.. Casual and a bit minimalistic so it doesnt look like a hodgepodge. I'd definately let the piece stand for it'self.

16as far as canoe decor goes i prefer the shelving units like the ones eddie bauer used to have (still has?) in their stores. it's an upright canoe with shelves across the inside of the hull.
17It looks like it should have a pair of paddles inside and a sticker that says, "IN CASE OF FLOOD, BREAK GLASS."
