I deeply envy anyone who can enjoy the sun or a city view on their very own rooftop or balcony, especially since the weather has been so beautiful lately in San Francisco. It's one of those simple pleasures in life that not all of us can enjoy, and the sort of thing that really adds value to a home. If you've got access, where's my invite?

I've got a HUGE balcony the whole length of my apartment and I LOVE it! So nice!
1I'm jealous. My building is only 2 stories, and there is no balcony (or as we call it in Alabama, a porch), or an accessible roof. booooo.

4yes! although i don't have a balcony which i kind of miss (although prob for the best having small animals) i have a beautifulll rooftop in my apartment building downtown seattle, with a view of the water on one side and the space needle on the other
it was wonderful in the
summertime for cocktails and laying out, but haven't ventured up there too much lately. i looked at another apartment that had a hot tub on the roof! now that would have been nice!!
5we have front and back balconies and I'm hoping by spring to get an old cafe table and chair set from my mother for the front which is bigger and not as slanty. haha

7I used to have a great balcony when I was in college but don't have one in my one story home. I miss it.

9I have a cute deck...I guess it's sort of like a balcony!
A rooftop deck would be amazing!
10I used to live in this old renovated cotton mill in Atlanta and you could see the whole city scape from the rooftop deck. Now I own a house, so I don't miss it that much!
11back deck, small heavily wooded back "yard" and a waterfall + pond. we love it. like a little private retreat. lots of spiders, though. booo.
12North and I love hanging out on our rooftop!
13I have (semi-illegal) rooftop access and I love it! As much as it's not so much part of our apartment, its definitely the highlight when we have guests in town.
