I snapped this picture of a small mountain farm last September when I was visiting my brother in the Western fjords of Norway. It is so remote and beautiful. Sometimes I dream about living in a place this far up and away from the bustling urban world.

Wow! Beautiful! Looks a lot like Gessopalena in Italy...I got some awesome pictures of that place!
1Wow...this is gorgeous!!
2Love this view!
3Norway = Heaven on Earth! We've been there twice for summer vacations and plan on going again very soon.
4Hope they don't need to make a run to the grocery store.
5I'm with citizenkane...planning ahead is obviously a necessity living way up there!
6Stunning. Simply stunning.
7it would be nice in so many ways to live up there!
8As high up as it looks, the road to the top would scare the crap out of me!
The scenery is
definately gorgeous though!
9Hah! that wasn't supposed to be a kissy face, oh well.
10wow... its a gorgeous veiw but, forgive me for asing, how do these people shop? do they get wi-fi out there? i doubt it. and how far away is the nearest stroe?
11oops lol that was supposed to be store =P
12You're all very correct--shopping and errand running has to be done very carefully. The "big" grocery store is across the fjord, which is a ferry ride away (and in the fall/winter the ferry rides aren't as frequent), not to mention driving to the ferry and to the store and back. There's a little store with a tiny amount of produce about half an hour away each way....
13this picture makes me feel good.
14How beautiful! I would absolutely LOVE to live there sometimes. Maybe they'd consider a house swap for parts of the year...?
15Beautiful! My kind of place.
16yeah i would love to visit and stay at times but not all the time. it would make me appreciate it more and yearn for it. and i don't know how i would like the winters.
17wow me too
18It is amazing. I long to be in a place like this but reality is, it probably won't happen for a long while.
19"The hills are alive with the sound of muuuuuusic!"
hehe...that's the first thought that entered my brain when i saw this pic. Beautiful! Who cares about wi-fi and stores when you have that view outside your door???
