One of the changes I made this month for Dress Your Walls was to paint the bedroom blue. It used to be a drab beige with a weird brown border along the bottom (this was pre-CasaSugar move-in), and it took two coats of low-VOC primer and two more coats of low-VOC paint to get the color right.
Cool colors, such as blue, brown, and grey, are thought to promote concentration and calmness. so they're great for bedrooms and offices. I know that I feel calm and happy whenever I walk into our new blue bedroom.

5That is almost the exact shade I chose for my bedroom in my parents' new house. Only trouble is I don't live there anymore (okay i take that back, that's no trouble at all!) But I do miss my pretty blue walls. My mom thought I was crazy when I chose it. But it's so striking with a bright white trim!
6haha My bedroom at my parents house is also that exact shade of blue too! I love it. And same as you rivrchild, my mom is always asking if I'm sure I don't want her to repaint it a different color and it does look great with a white trim!
