My good friend just moved in to a new place and has absolutely no furniture, aside from a bed. She pretty much eats, sleeps, and works on her pillowtop mattress; it's kind of sad. Until I set eyes on her crib, I'd been taking furniture entirely for granted. Now I know, life without tables and chairs (even ugly ones) is pretty rough.

We lived in a virtually empty apartment for two years until we could get the perfect furniture.
1i could definitely use more shelving/bookcases. and a real dining table, not one that folds.
2There are somethings that I would love to add, but honestly we need a bit more space first.
3Way too much! And it all sucks.
4My very first apartment back in 2001 was pretty bare...I lived with my boyfriend at the time and we could only afford the basics.
Now, I live in a 3-level townhouse with my husband, we both have good jobs, and I can afford to buy furniture. Plus, when I first moved in here in 2004, my parents bought me a living room set and a kitchen table/chairs set. I have plenty of furniture right now, definitely don't need any more at the moment!
5My apartment is bare by choice. I'm a neurotic perfectionist and I live by the motto: I'd rather have nothing than something that's not perfect. We sold/gave away all of our furniture when we moved, so for six months we've had nothing but computer desks, and mattresses on floors. We've been waiting for him to get his promotion so I can buy not only the furniture I want, but a whole room at a time. It has sucked in some ways, and been great in others! I'm a minimalist anyway, but I love nice furniture.
6My parents and I moved into a house with a family room and a formal palor seven years ago. Our old house only had one living room, so we didn't have furniture for the parlor...and we still don't. lol All we have in there is an old couch my grandparents gave us, a piano, and we just bought a dining room table about six months ago. We really need furniture in there. lol
7i sometimes think i don't have enough, but our stuff in storage this year says differently: expertly packed, our stuff takes up 2 entire containers (like the kind they put on ships!) without my roommate's bed and frame! I think half of it is books, honestly.
still - when we get back we need to look at buying my roommate a bed, bed frame and a stand for the tv we are going to buy soon. IKEA here we come!
8I have a hard time picking out things for the home. I guess I have not found that "it" item.
9Luckily my place isn't too big so I have plenty!
10my parents sold their house and fulfilled a dream to live on their boat so i raided their storage unit and helped myself to all the furniture I wanted. Good thing my mom and I have similar taste. All i had to do was get different accessories.
11There are times I think I have too much furniture and then I'll remove a piece here and there. But then I really miss the piece and bring it back in!! I get very attached to certain furniture!
12I could use a couple storage pieces as well as a tall table for under a window to put more plants on.
13i definitely need a whole bedroom set, but the rest of the house is just right (or maybe too much). i don't know, maybe i spent to much time playing the sims.
14i have too big home....i love to live in apartment or condo or townhouse if i could in the future...& i have some big furniture from my mom's old house (it's really too old & suck) that eat up all space we want...& messy
& i think i wanna change my bed from twin to the bed for 1 lol anyway it's good enough to have home & furniture to use & live with!!
15This is so funny because I was just having a conversation with a friend of mine about this. I live with a friend of mine and when we moved into the apartment we made an agreement that I would decorate the dining room and she would decorate the living room. Well the dining room is fully decorated, but the living room only has a couch and a t.v. It has been driving me crazy because I love to decorate. I have been seeing all of this affordable furniture for our living that is inexpensive. We could decorate the rest of our living room on a budget of 30 dollars.
16Ive got way too much aquired furniture and junk. It would be so much more relaxing and easier to clean if we had less stuff.
Too bad I cannot persuade the fiance to understand where I am coming from.
17I still have space to add a few pieces to the apt but I am simple don't like too much furniture. My mom has always been into interior decorating and I picked up after her. I've been able to live comfortably in a studio and now in a huge one bedroom. It's really just about displaying only what you use
18i have enough!
19I have pretty much enough now!
20All I need is a computer desk/eating place!
In fact I think I've got too many things.
21I've got precisely the right amount of furniture for my space, but still everything doesn't fit in...
Is there a topic here on CasaSugar explaining how to separate important things and trash??...
I have waaaayyyy too much furniture for my small house. I can't wait to have a bigger house so I can have some space in my room.
