To help dry your clothes quicker, and to make your laundry fluffier, throw a couple of tennis balls in with your drying clothes. The balls will create air pockets in the dryer, which will speed up the drying process and fluff up your drying garments.

My mommy taught me that long long ago!
1Perfect for dying your coats!
Seriously? Does it not get lint on the laundry?
2NEver heard that one. Doesn't it make a lot of noise?
3Best tip ever for someone who has a crappy dryer in their apartment building! I can't wait to try it, it's going to be so loud and hilarious!
4Could you imagine the noise?
5great tip
6perfect for me 'cause my machine is in the garage!
how about a bowling ball?
7Yeah, I was wondering about the noise too. My neighbors would be none too pleased.
8Haha, I've done this before.
9When I told my father about it he thought I was insane.
I'll have to try this!
10Interesting! I have some tennis balls, I'll have to give it a go...
11won't your clothes smell like new tennis ball?
12Does this work with an HE dryer, too? (high efficiency) I guess it's worth a try.
13libs, I do put those dryer balls in my HE dryer. It's never been a problem. I didn't even think about tennis balls. I think I'll use those, once my dryer balls wear out. They are basically the same thing.
14doesn't it damage the dryer? and the noise? i'd do this to my own dryer but not in a rental place.
15They sell things specifically for this purpose, that are little elongated balls with pokey thing on them. They are better (don't stink, aren't loud, don't get lint on clothes, don't have a chance of coloring clothes, reduce drying time to save electricity, reduces need for fabric softener, etc), and around the same price as tennis balls, I think. I've never bought tennis balls, so I don't know about that.
