Those bookshelves are just not that useful looking to me. First of all, I have a lot of books, so I would have to line my whole house in those. Second, I think filled with books they would look really sloppy. I guess I would need to see them incorporated into a real room.

I have this book shelf. LOVE it and I get compliments on it all the time. It holds a whole lot of stuff if you have a small amount of space- Mine is stacked from floor to the top with books.

I adore my Sapien bookcase. It takes up less space than a traditional bookcase, you can arrange your books by spine color or size, it neatly accommodates odd-sized art books, and it looks fantastic in my loft. I get compliments on it all the time. The higher price Sapien is considered an iconic modern design, as well.

I could tell the 2nd one was cheaper because it looks like you just self assemble it but putting those shelves in to a slot.

They are wall mounted, and don't have the spine like the 2 pictured here. The books look like they're floating! I have a few in my kitchen full of cookbooks!

Since I had picked it for my losing west elm list (snif snif) I knew the price...

Improper storage. I prefer utilitarian design.

they are a little cheesy, maybe if they were made out of wood it would look better
