YumSugar recently alerted me to the fact that Carlo Rossi (a.k.a. wine in a jug) has come out with a furniture collection called "Jug Simple", which he refers to as "nothing more than a load of empty jars and really interesting ideas." His pieces, which have titles like "Chardonnay Chandelier" and "Cabernet Couch," he says, are "nothing too outlandish, just simple, functional pieces of furniture for the home."

If you are interested, and have some spare bottles laying around, Carlo Rossi is holding an open call for designs, Jug Simple Make Something, obviously as a promotion for his wines. I know how I feel about these designs, but what do you think?

I'm sorry but I could make my own sofa if all it took were empty bottles...who would want this in their house?
I like the light, but that's it.
I love it as art, but not so much as practical pieces.
Hmm. Maybe in someone elses house.
I only like it because I have fond memories of this jug o' wine. My best friend and I have had many adventures because of Carlo Rossi.
Love everything about it!
very interesting but def. not a style I'd have in my house, more of an art form.
very different like the light nice as art but not as home deco
I like the chandelier, but that's it.
What happens if I gain a bunch of weight and sit down on that couch?? Do I end up with glass shards in my rear?? No thank you!
Sorry, I don't like it.
Sorry, I don't like it.
the chandelier is interesting!
Hmmm...interesting but not for me.
I like the chandelier..it would have to be in a big room but the rest looks ridiculous!!!
i want to love it because it's recycled but
sadly i don't
This is just plain strange. It looks like something I would have constructed as a kid in my "play house" which was actually just a big rock in the woods by my house. Very weird looking. I wouldn't want this anywhere near my home.
I love it as art, but I would not have that couch in my house.
