I think I'm going to have to step up my knitting skill set beyond the basic knit one purl two, because Farmer Fox is making me crazy covetous. Parents with a knack for knitting would be well-served to grab one of these patterns, which I found first at Craft:, and are available from Ariadne Knits and the fabulous brain of Montreal designer Jennie Eveleigh Lamond for $4.50 as a PDF download. So. Cute.

The Muswell Cat pattern, also from Jennie Eveleigh Lamond, is also available for PDF download for the same price.

Any knitters out there want to make one?

Awwww
1Cute, I wonder how long it would take to finish one?
2I always try knitting and I can never get the hang of it! I think I need someone to teach me in person. These are cool.
3These are very "fall festival"-ish
4I am pretty sure that I have to make one!
5such a cute idea. great post!!
6Aww, too cute. That fox is pretty damn cool.
7I tried knitting once, but found it more difficult than crochet. With crochet, you can just pull out the messed up stitch and do again Knitting mistakes are much harder. My grandmother tried to teach me both, but I flunked knitting!
8I think they might be related to me! hee hee! Very cute!
9I must make that fox.
10I like the fox, although I had a tendency to make up my own patterns as I go, so I'll probably free hand it instead of getting the pattern (I don't sell any of the stuff I make, and I don't sell the patterns either, so I'm not making money off a ripped off design).
11adorable!
12I'm going to make one. Now that the nights are getting cooler, I will definitely enjoy snuggling in with a project. Now which one to make?
13So far I can only knit and purl but this makes me want to learn more!
This is now my Xmas goal - to make Farmer Fox.
