For the past few years I've scoured catalogs, flea markets, and boutiques to find the coolest and loveliest decor that matches my personality and home. But you know what was in the corner, next to my Danish modern teak table? A sheepskin-and-plaid-flannel dog bed.

1My dog has a dog bed in the kitchen and one in my office so he can be comfortable while I do my thing. If we are in the family room or the bedroom, he can choose between the couch and the bed.

I have bought cute, comfy, expensive cat beds for my cats. They choose to sleep:
in the dryer, on one single piece of paper in the middle of the floor, on top of my toilet, in the bathtub, on me, and inside any box
never slept on the beds.
4Mine will sleep on pet beds if the beds are placed on human beds, sofas or chairs. :0)
5I know the second I drop a dime on my kitties they're going to ignore it.
6My dogs prefer our bed, and in fact, they think it belongs to them and they let us sleep there!
7I use this Trent magazine stool from Pier 1 for a cat condo alternative, they dig it!

11Comfort should be #1 when looking for a pet bed. These don't look very comfortable. Next people will want their pets to match their furniture.
12You know... my dog would never sleep in a bed like that. He likes the circular beds with a cushion, or any human bed. I'd cry if I bought him a fancy bed and he ignored it.

My cats are really spoiled. I bought a very cute Ikea bed to them last year and at the beginning they were sleeping together in it and using it all the time. But after a couple of months they got bored with it and starting using my bed or the sofa... I am thinking about buying the Ikea Bastis Krona to them hoping they will use it because with two cats that's a bunch of hair they loose on my bed or sofa when they have been lying there which is really annoying!!
15HA! catepillar girl my cat is the same way..she will not lay in a pet bed..if there is a piece of paper on the floor she will lay on it...also if i am doing homework or something guess where she wants to lay? on my homework...those are cute beds..but my cat likes variety she has a different spot every week...
16My dog Maya used to always sleep in a crate when we had multiple dogs...they all did. But now that she's an only child, she has a bed next to ours in our room and also a bed where the crate used to be in the diningroom. She basically follows me around from room to room all day long and sleeps where ever I'm working. Right now she's sleeping by my feet while I'm on the computer. This room has carpet so she lays anywhere. When I'm busy in the kitchen she sleeps in her bed in the diningroom. If I'm moving too quickly from room to room cleaning, she will just go back to her bed in our bedroom! She's so funny!!!
