The kitchen is often the room where you can find the majority of my family over Thanksgiving, though there's usually a contingent in the dining room, playing cards or telling stories. After dinner, we always light a fire in the fireplace to unwind in postprandial, lazy states. It's always great to dim the lights and watch the fire as we talk, read books, or play board games.

A rather unfair vote because we don't have a fireplace but I can't wait until we do. Then it will be on all through the holidays!
1I would if I had a fireplace!
2This is the first year I have a fireplace, and I will definitely be lighting it!
3If it's cold enough, yes, otherwise, no.
4I don't have a real fireplace, but, I do have a gel fuel fireplace. I love it and when I am not burning the gel fuel, which isn't often, I light candles in the fireplace. I highly recommend getting one if you don't have a real fireplace.
5If I had one... I would light it.
