I "heart" Swedish design :-)from the modern IKEA to the vintage Gustavian. In the land of the midnight sun the style is always light and airy, never overbearing or heavy. The biggest difference I've noticed between American and Swedish design is in the United States, most offices and homes are overrun with wall-to-wall carpeting vs. in Sweden, the focus is more on wood flooring. Flooring can have a huge impact on any design hence the pottery barn furniture catalogs are all staged with wooden flooring...juss sayin!
