As a raised-in-the-woods hippie kid, my adult self sometimes avoids the feel-good offerings in the Gaiam catalog, but that doesn't mean I'm stubborn enough not to realize that they offer some really amazing products. They carry lovely organic silk and organic cotton bedding, sustainably harvested wood furniture, and other great household items. And now, they have an up to 75 percent off sale going on right now. (Thanks to Apartment Therapy: Green for the tip.)
Almost all of the sale items are priced incredibly low. There are some great finds in organic cotton linens and outdoor living, and I seriously need to order this Tofino bench for my backyard. Be sure to check it out. To see my picks from the sale, click on the photos below.

you were a raised in the woods hippie kid?
1really!?
how coool!
i'm intrigued.
sounds way cooler than the hustle and bustle of the suburbs where i grew up =)
I wish I wasn't on such a tight budget. Sigh.
2I had never heard of this place, thanks for hte heads up....
3i agree, you being raised in the woods does sound interesting!
I
really love Gaiam - such great stuff at good prices (their original prices are good, but these sale ones! wow!). i wish i could get stuff from them...but i can get a lot of organic cotton and
other stuff in Vancouver and not have to order things in: much more eco-friendly to get stuff locally.
there is a great store in Vancouver that makes their own organic cotton and hemp bedding and also pillows! i have a few things from them. they do soy candles as
well.
