A recent New York Times article reveals that window watching (spying on your neighbors) is a common activity in big cities, where apartment windows often face each other. One woman interviewed for the article notes, "In a large city where there’s a lot going on around you, it can feel very isolating and lonely. By having contact with these total strangers through the window, it’s a safe way of having a relationship without the hard part of a relationship."
While I don't live within window-watching proximity, I know that many of my friends have sneaked in a little window watching in the past. What about you?

Of course I do!
My neighbours' windows are close enough to look into. I like to see how they've laid out their unit in comparison to my own. But beside that, there really isn't anything else to see out my windows but neighbours.
1No.
2If its dark out and they have there lights on with blinds back I might take a gander
3A few weeks ago I walked out onto our porch to find the neighbor looking into our home with binoculars. boy oh boy did he have a "got caught" look on his face. HA!
No
4and thank god I don't have nosy neighbors either........
At my old apartment yes, but you couldn't help it since they were so shady I always wondered what chaos would ensue next. At my new place now, no way-they're all NORMAL.
5I live in the suburbs, and I don't find myself neighbor-watching at all. From the 2nd story we could see in our neighbor's yard, but that is the extent of our viewing capabilities. If I lived in the city, I would probably indulge however.
6I don't live in an apartment but I am aware enough to know my neighbors, when they are in town, which pets belong to them, etc. I also talk to them in passing. The purpose isn't to be nosy but to get each others' backs to make a better neighborhood.
