I've never seen anything quite like these 2 Jane Adhesive Window Films ($76 for a 37" x 52" roll), but I love the idea of adding a little style to my window panes. Available in six patterns, the stick-on designs could be used to create privacy windows or replicate the look of etched glass. You could also use them on glass table tops and mirrors for an unexpected look.
Some of the patterns are delicate and feminine — including the White Moroccan Tile "Otto" and the White Flowers and Lace (pictured) — while the White Orba design has a more mod look. To apply, you just use water, and the films peel off without leaving residue behind. What do you guys think of these window films? How would you use them?

5i have these on my guest bathroom window and they are beautiful! they take a little practice to get on without bubbles and bumps though.

10These would be prefect for a bathroom window. Or maybe even putting them on the top pane of the window. That way, you could still see out, and they're sheer enough to let the light through.

16The price is a tad high for my budget, but I have a window with terrible placement. In my shower there is a window that comes down to my chest and faces a church. A very active church that has members all over the place at least 4 times a week! I can't shower when they have things going on over there, and curtains would get moldy in there too quickly. Maybe for Christmas...
17cokerad: i saw somewhere (it might have been here, actually) that some people put bubble wrap on their windows until they can buy curtains (or adhesives:) because the light still comes in but it gives you privacy. Maybe you could try that for a while?

19oh, the bubble wrap idea is funny- but probably works. We also have an odd window in our guest bathroom. You can't see anything in, but I am sure it makes people feel weird. This would work nicely since I still want some light coming in- thanks for the heads up!
20This is a great solution! I live in an urban community with neighbors all in my face.And these would be great on my bathroom's huge windows, coupled with lighter curtains..right now i have these really dark brown yucky curtains hanging there simply because it blocks peeping eyes! I'm getting this asap...
21i had an apartment with floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides (anyone say fish bowl?) but they put up some of that spray on stuff on some windows - this would've been much better!

23I have a friend who has an interior glass screen door (like a normal one used to connect the house to a pool or something), anyway she has it separating the living room from the hallway and when it's clean and closed people have really knocked themselves hard on the door. I think this would be phenominal product for her!!!
This is a fantastic find. There are so many homes with not so lovely views for which this would be great.

26most of the windows in my apartment get decent light, but face the building next door (it's about 17 feet away). It'd be nice to have full sunlight with a nice pretty pattern. It's private!

28Clear Contact Paper makes a window look frosted. It is very cost effective. Also can be cut with exacto knife to make etched designs. Have used this inexpensive trick to cover transom windows beside my front door and over garage door windows for home security. Light still comes in but the view is clouded to obscure the view.
29I'd be worried that when I'd apply it to the glass, I'd end up with lots of air bubbles, which I of course then would have to burst
You can get a spray in a can that gives the same effect and you can use it with stencils. I found this one:
