Color Theory: Painting the Walls With Lavender
If you're looking for a feminine, cool color, lavender is always a good bet. This palest purple shade is named for the pretty flower of the same name. With shades ranging from a brighter purple to gray-tinted pale lavenders to lavender pinks, there's plenty to choose from when it comes to shades of lavender. See some beautiful examples of lavender coloring every room in the house.

my room was lavender as a kid and i absolutely loved it. in fact, i'll probably paint a room lavender when i get my own house. it's just so calming and pretty.
1No, thanks. As pretty as lavender is, it's very unflattering on my skin tone. In a lavender room, I would appear sick when I'm not.
When it comes to picking room colors, I choose colors that are nice to look at AND flattering to me.
2I want to paint my bathroom lavender. It's my favorite scent to use when taking bubble baths at night so I'd love to increase that calm spa feeling by adding lavender walls.
3I was thinking about painting my bathroom lavender. I had been thinking about periwinkle, but now I think that might be too "cold" and lavender is always cheerful and calming.
