Every Thursday on CasaSugar, I'll give you a decorating challenge and ask you to go Casa Craving for items that fit the look. (Here's a post explaining what a Casa Craving is and how to create one.)
I have always loved the aqua-green paint that often shows up on antique furniture, like these Vintage Aqua Dining Chairs ($350) at Jayson Home & Garden. (Thanks to Design Sponge for the tip.) The chairs are elegant but funky and could create an unexpectedly playful look in an otherwise formal dining room.
So in this Casa Craving Challenge, I'd like you to design a formal dining room using these chairs. But there's one catch: The aqua shade needs to shine, so it shouldn't show up anywhere else in the room. What dining table, chandelier, and formal accents would you put with these chairs?

11I actually recently bought a kitchen table and chairs in a similar style and I L.O.V.E. them!! My table is aqua and the chairs are off-white. I love decorating the table with either my grandmother's bright blue (depression glass-type)vases and candy bowls or a white vase with bright flowers.
Ugh - I don't have any pics at the ready but I will try to upload later today.
I am so glad to see this trend coming around because buying this kitchen set was WAY out of my comfort zone but I am glad I did not go for the standard dark brown,square furniture I usually gravitate to.
12I love this color with a nice coral and neutrals for summer decorating.
It'll be interesting to see what people come up with now that furniture stores are heading into fall. EXCITING!!!!
