Just the other day, I was struck by how wasteful it is to use chopsticks; for some reason, I had never thought about it before. So it's serendipitous that I just stumbled upon these Recycled Chopsticks Lamps ($42 to $46) on Apartment Therapy Green.
The line of nine lamps, including the dark-stained Fong Lamp (left), use post-consumer bamboo chopsticks to cast a unique glow. These lamps would look great not only in Asian-inspired decor but also in modern rooms. To see all nine lamps, read more

Oh my goodness! These are soooo cute! I really want one of these...
My kids made something just like this for me a couple years ago at a library craft hour. Had I thought to sell them for $42 to $46 dollars, my kids would have their college fund pretty much set by now.
is it possible to make these ourselves?
ICK.
I can't decide what I think. They'd be great in the right room, but I'm also wondering how difficult it would be to make something similar myself.
I kinda like them.
I like the Pong.
I don't really like them..
I don't understand why using chopsticks are wasteful. Plastic utensils are wasteful. But why chopsticks? You're not hurting the environment by using them...
you could use chopsticks from take out or whatever that you get and make your own - just use your own utensils for the food and save the wooden chopsticks! this wouldn't be wasteful as you'd be throwing the chopsticks out otherwise!
It's cute for an outdoor area.
I lov3e this I would buy this for an outside dining area
or even a bathroom (asian inspired of course)
