Not all of us have the luxury of a separate home office. And for anyone who works in a multi-purpose room — such as a living room or guest room — a computer armoire is a great buy.
These workstations are large enough to contain all of your tech needs, and the elegant doors let you hide your clutter when the desk isn't in use. So for this Good, Better, Best, I've rounded up some classically styled computer armoires at three different price points.
Good: When the doors are shut, this Hampton Computer Armoire in White ($500) just looks like a cabinet. But inside are thoughtful touches like a keyboard tray, corkboard, and a dry-erase board.

Two even better classical computer armoires, so read more
Better: The grass-green finish and shuttered doors give this Pottery Barn Seymour Home Office Armoire ($1,999, via Outblush) a touch a hipness. It's designed to hold a computer or a TV.

Best: I love the old-world Japanese elegance of this Gump's Shinto Office Armoire ($3,400). It's made from solid walnut and joined without a single nail, and details include sliding doors in the back to help manage your wires.

I like the white one!
1I like the white one for my computer. I really like the brown one but I would use it for my sowing machine/craft stuff. I don't have a place to work on sewing (except the kitchen table), and this keeps me from sewing all together. This armoire would make the perfect sewing center!
2I have a white computer armoire and I think it works great! If I ever have a mess going on I can close the doors and no one knows!
3There is nothing better than closing the computer clutter into a handsome piece of furniture. I wish I could cover up more of the messes in my life so easily.
4I was just looking at these today, I found two at WalMart that were just over $100. My friend uses hers to contain all of her scrapbooking and crafting supplies, and she uses the keyboard drawer to place the project in progress, that way she can keep it laid out and flat and not worried about anything getting smooshed. Plus, she can hide the mess by shutting the doors. And it just looks like a great accent piece between her living room and office.
But, these are nicer than the ones at WalMart. LOL.
5I did a room design on here with the same white one, and I LOVE it...the idea of having a compute "room" in a cabinet is genius.
6I love all of them! Thos eare perfect for hiding all that stuff! Computer desks get messy so quickly and this is the perfect solution!
7I love the white one. It's way more organized than my desk is, with more space for my gadgets (printer, external hard drive, etc.)
8cool designs. i like the white one, too. a corkboard on the inside of the door? sweet!
9I'd love an armoire in my bedroom to hide away my tv and dvd player.
10I got a really nice used one on Craigslist for $75!
11OMG! So cute! They seem so useful and pretty! These are too expensive for me but a cheaper option would be great.
12the one on the bottom that is arts & crafts style! love it!!
13I like the contemporary ones better this is too traditional for my tastes
14I really don't see why the white one would be "good" and the green "great" when the white has more functionality, is half the price, and can be painted green if that's what you really wanted! I agree with the others who prefer the white one.
15that gorgeous love it
