My building is about 150 years old.
1Our home is probably 60 years old. I've lived in older homes and brand new ones as well. While I love the new homes and we are going to build a new home within the next few years, there's a character in the older ones you can't get in new ones.
2Our house is 87 years old.
333 years old.
4about 100 apparantly
5At the moment we're renting a beautiful property which was built in 1915 while waiting for our new house to be built.
6Three years young!! This is our second home...we lived in a 25 year old contemporary before buying this and we were ready for less work and more enjoying the home!!! I love it.
7They're still working on my apartment building, that's how new it is.
8My parents house (where I currently reside) was built at the turn of the century, but my student house during termtime is a 1970s ish add on to a row of older houses - and hugely ugly at that!
I can deal with draughts, pokey spaces, bad plumbing, excess maintenance - the lot, as long as I have a house with character, and for me I just can't find that in a new house. Once I have my own home I think it's going to have to be period properties all the way!
994 years old
10My buildings in NY are each 90 years old, my parent's house back home is 260 years old.
11I think mine is between 20-50 years old, but about 6 months ago it was renovated, everythign was ripped out except for the concrete walls.
12My building is about 160 years old. It used to be a distillery, and lay vacant for some time before artists moved in around 1984. In our loft, you can still see burn marks on some of the beams from a fire in the 1940's. I love our home!
13Mine's 150 years
14My apt was built in 1960, I know because my elderly neighbor moved in the year it was built. Luckily, my unit was just renovated and they've kept it up really well. Like most people, I prefer older homes to new construction. They just have so much more character.
15My house is the same age that I am: 28. It was built in July of that year, and I was born in November. Easy enough for me to remember how old my house is!
16I know our house is older than me, but not sure how much older.
17So I am guessing 33-35
but doesnt look older than 21
51. Built in 1956.
18The estate agent guessed it was late Victorian or Edwardian, so about 100 years old. I don't like new builds.
19I've never lived anywhere that was built before the late '70s!
20Our house is 82 years old. It's a storybook style home that was originally built in 1925 and expanded in 1942.
21My house was built in the 1960's, but I long to have a 1920's Arts and Crafts bungalow.
22The original part of my house was built in 1927 and over the years it's been added onto a few times. Our 'newest' addition is about 7 years old. Thankfully all the additions were carefully planned and well thought out by previous owners
23My house was built in 1930. I've lived there for 6 years, and hope to live there for many more!
24I just moved out of my London one, which was about 250 years old (Georgian), into a place in San Francisco that will be 100 next year (Edwardian)! I waaaaay prefer old houses, especially those that have been very well-maintained. I think they have such great charm and character, and there is such thoughtfulness in the details.
25My home is about 5 years old.
26My house was built in 1961 and the townhouse before that was built in 1947. I like older I guess?
2728 yrs old. Its my parents house and was built the year I was born!
Personallly I adore old buildings with character and history. But part of me would love to build from scratch so I could have an en-suite and walk in wardrobes. Of course I also need to find some money.....
28I live in a Craftsman Bungalow that was built in 1930.
29Our home was built in the mid 70s, and I would love a newer one. Say mid 90s early 2000s, but not new. The new homes in this area have little to no land.
30My "new" house is 60ish years old...The last one I lived in was around 16.
31Our house was built in 1890
I love it, such great old charm.
32My building is 200 years old. It was built in 1807 and served as a factory here in Nashville. We still have the original wood floors and ceilings. It's beautiful!!!
33about 75-100 years old -- the city records are spotty -- and it's been a trial, but i love it.
34My apartment is old and semi-dilapidated...but it has character! It's probably about 100 years old.
35My house was built in 1946!
3620-50. My grandpa built it when my dad was like 10 or so, I forget the exact year. It's a little small and dated now though I want to move into a large old colonial home.
37Other. We have a 132 year old house that we have owned for almost 3 years and a 2.5 year old house that we bought about 2 months ago. We have our 132 year old house up for sale.
38Just under 100 years old. My friend used to live in a big farmhouse which had parts of the building dating as far back as 500 years ago! but she always said that strange things used to happen and she was sure it was haunted
39My house was built in the mid-1970's.
40wow! i am suprised how many of you live in really old houses. my house was built in the 70's, but i plan on buildinga new house (my own design) in a couple of years. i absolutely love architecture and homes. but thats only half the fun. the other half is putting all my junk in it!
41My house is so new i don't even live in it yet !!!
42I love the feel of an older home ... they have character. But, I hate the expense that usually comes with it - replacing this, fixing that.
43My mothers house and the house I grew up in was built in the 40's. I live in a house that my Husband and I built 2 years ago. I love both, but love the established trees that only older neighborhoods here have to offer.
44We just built our house 2 years ago. it's the first time we're enjoying new construction and I really like it. The older homes are nice but also expensive to maintain. I enjoy that everything right now is under warranty.
45no idea - this apartment is probably at least 20 years old, but who knows?! i envy people with really old homes - the ones in canada aren't generally older than from the 1950s - usually just from the 1970s although there are of course some older ones around.

47Our home is about 15 years old, but it's designed to look old, stone walls and everything. We love old homes, but we wanted a home with an old feel, modern conveniences and modern room sizes.
48my house is about 30 years old.
49We just had our house built 3yrs ago this month.
