I'm not the world biggest fan of toile, but I absolutely adore these patterns from Town Toiles. The Tampa-based company puts a modern twist on the traditionally pastoral designs, with geography-inspired patterns featuring iconic images from different cities. (Thanks to user Mademoiselle for bookmarking these!)
You can buy Town Toile fabric by the yard or choose from the company's assorted home accents, including tea towels, picture frames, and pillows. There's even a line of wallpaper. Tampa is represented, of course, as are San Francisco, New York, Boston, and a basic beach pattern. I think this stuff would be a great moving gift, either to commemorate the city someone is leaving or to represent their new home. To see a gallery of the toile patterns, read more

I love it - but $65 a yard? Yikes!
1Cute, but pricey! None for my city anyway! I'm sure custom would be even more!
2What about Chicago? It could be cute as an accessory pillow or something... with prices like that a pillow is all I could afford anyway!
3This is a great idea and I am sure it is not a whole lot more expensive than most quality toile fabrics, not that I have ever bought any!
4Clever use of toile! I am not totally into the "destination" feeling of this, but it sure is clever!
5that is really neat! i wish they had more cities.
6i like toile a lot - it is always expensive though! i got some for half price (used to be 50$ a metre) back home and re-covered some IKEA swivel chairs and they look so much better! i'll have to take pics when i get back.
7I'm not a fan of toile... at all ...
8FOUND SOME OF THIS TOILE ON EBAY...ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE !!!
