I grew up with beehives in the backyard, since my dad's a beekeeper. I rarely was stung (perhaps twice in my entire childhood), and always had delicious honeycomb and honey to snack on. While I don't have a beehive in my home now, I've been considering adding one for some time.

A bat house, Yes. A beehive? No.
1YES! I would love that! Bees are wonderful and you can learn so much from there beeish ways.
2I would love to, but my best friend is allergic to bees and the possibility of killing her every time she comes to visit is not really worth it.
3Your dad is a beekeeper? That's awesome! I love it when people have cool jobs.
4katyharper, it's more a hobby. he has a kind of boring job, but makes up for it with cool hobbies!
5Wasps freak me out, but I love big fat fuzzy bumblebees. I did just buy a bee's nest for my yard for next year.
6No thanks.
7Yes! Anything to help them!
